Verizon Wireless unveiled 4 new business smartphones for the rest of the year:

• Samsung i760: a Windows Mobile 6 based slider with both the numeric keypad and full QWERTY keyboard. Features include stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3Mpixl camera, and EV-DO data. It will be available online starting October 19 for $350 after rebate and new2-year contract.

Alltel subscribers will soon be able to get their hands on several new handsets in the nearest future.

And now by order: the first is Palm Treo 755p smartphone, not the best option to choose; next is the Blackberry Pearl 8130, which will launch along with the 755p; and the last smartphone is the one named UTStarcom 6850, probably a re-branded version of the HTC Mogul.

Vodafone will release the new Palm Treo 500v smartphone on Friday.

The device will be available for GBP85.11 or for free, depending on your contract.

New customers will also get a new Vodafone interface for the handset as well as GBP50 worth of Bluetooth equipment.

SlingPlayer Mobile is a new software application from Sling Media, allowing SlingBox users to watch and control their TV at home from their mobile device, including local channels, video on demand, pay per view content, and programs recorded onto a DVR.

The player is compatible with Nokia E and N series S60-based phones, and supports Wi-Fi and 3G networks.

Palm Centro is the company's latest smartphone available exclusively from Sprint.

It is a small, easy to use, yet powerful handset packed with advanced communication and multimedia features.

The phone is available in onyx black or ruby red colors and comes with a built-in digital camera.

Rumor has it that Palm plans to launch the new Treo 500 WM6-based smartphone on September 12th.

It will be the company's slimmest smartphone, featuring a full QWERTY keyboard, 1.3Mpix camera, SprintSpeed (EVDO), SprintTV, On Demand, SMS/MMS/IM/Email, and Google Maps integration.

The release is scheduled on Q4 2007.

The upcoming Palm Foleo will not be released on August 22nd as reported previously. The release date was carried over to late September or early October.

The cause of the delay is said to be some software bugs that don't allow Treo models to sync with the device. It looks like no one was expecting the new Palm to appear when it was first announced, but now this delay will just kill all the excitement.

Sprint presented several new handsets recently, including CDMA versions of the HTC Touch and Blackberry Pearl, and also the smallest Palm smartphone to date, codenamed Centro.

Palm Centro has all the same features as the Treo 755p model, but is much smaller.

It will be available exclusively from Sprint for $99 with a contract.
