Best Buy has recently put up its full retail price for a Palm Pre without contract at $849.99. How do you like it? Seeing such a price tag I'm sure most of you will choose to buy the phone with contract from Sprint, where it's uncomparably cheaper.

Just a little update: apparently the retail price of the Palm Pre on Sprint will be $549 without contract. Nice! Note that the device isn't SIM-unlocked, so if you want to get it working on Verizon's network, you're out of luck.

Sprint has recently announced the Palm Pre for its network. The phone will be going for $199.99 after $100 mail-rebate and 2-year contract starting June 6th, and will be available at Sprint stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack, and select Wal-Mart stores.
Accessories include the optional $69.99 Touchstone charging dock kit ($49.99 dock and $19.99 Pre back cover).

Bell Mobility announced that they will be offering the upcoming Palm Pre in Canada in the second half of 2009. The carrier has exclusive rights to sell the handset in the country, so if you're, let's say, a Rogers customer, you're out of luck. :(

Previously we mentioned that Palm Pre will be available from Sprint starting June 7, and today we have another confirmation, this time from Best Buy Mobile. The said retailer will be getting around 4,500 units in stock on June 7th, which will then be distibuted to its stores.
Preliminary pricing:
$199.99 with a new 2-year contract; $299.

While the official pricng for the Palm Pre hasn't been announced yet, speculations continue: Credit Suisse claims that Sprint will be offering the handset for $150 on contract, which will automatically position the Pre as the direct iPhone 3G rival. Hopefully the price will actually be this low, as it will assure a great start for the upcoming smartphone.
