It took quite a long time, but Palm has finally announced its Pre smartphone today. The phone will be exclusively available on Sprint in the first half of 2009, but the price remains unclear. It's features are indeed impressive, and we're starting to believe this handset will be Palm's saviour in these troubled times.
Nice! According to different sources the upcoming Palm Nova smartphone will actually be a QWERTY slider running the company's new and "awsome" Nova OS. The pic above is just a drawn render, but you get the idea.

Following Vodafone, the O2 UK has released the Palm Treo Pro smartphone for its customers. There are 12, 18, 24 and 36 month plans available, as seen at the official website. Any takers?

While we're all waiting patiently for the upcoming CES, where Palm is supposed to release its new Nova OS, some carriers and developers were lucky enough to play with the actual build of it.
This can only mean that the product is almost ready, and the official release is comin up very soon.
Pictures of Palm Treo Pro 850 and a pink version of Samsung Instinct have been spotted today at Best Buy. The in-stock date is said to be January 25th, so if you're interetsed in either of these phones, you've got about a month left to wait.
The supposed Palm Roteo, a photo which was recently spotted in the Web, has been pictured again. But this time it seems the ugly device we see here has nothing to do with Palm. Sources indicate that it's actually called Compal Tabasco. Ok, let it be so...

Although a bit late, Palm has decided to launch an App Store of its own. Simila to the iPhone, the new service will allow users download software directly to their handsets.
Palm's App Store will be backed by PocketGear, and will have about 1,500 developers on board, who will get 50% from the sales of their software.
There's some fresh information concerning the new product that Palm is going to launch at the upcoming CES 2009. Apparently, it is Nova, an update to Palm OS that should arrive sometime in mid-2009. Sounds fine to us.
The device you see here is apparently the future Palm Roteo. We know nothing about it, except it's likely codename. The handset should be available sometime in 2009, and hopefully we'll be able to get more on the subject as soon as possible. Stay tuned.
