According to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report, in Q1 2008 ASUS will start shipping its latest P550 PDA phone to Vodafone, which will offer it as the V1520.

The new model is the successor to the V1210, and should replace the HTC P3600.

Bluebird Soft's Pidion BM-150R PDA phone, which was released in Korea last year, has just passed the FCC and will soon be available for purchase in the U.S. Here are some of its key features:

• CDMA (Cellular/k-PCS);
• Quad-band 850/900/1800/1900MHz GSM/GPRS;
• 3.5" LCD TFT touch-screen;
• Windows Mobile 5.

Giga-Bytes Communications introduced in Italy their new GPS-capable PDA, the GSmart i350.

The device supports quad band GSM/GPRS networks and features a 2.6" touch-screen, 2Mpix camera, miniSD slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, operates on a Marvell PXA270 processor, and integrates a SiRF Star III GPS chip + Garmin Mobile XT software, included in the package.

Asus has officially announced the new Asus P550 PDA targeted at business professionals.

It looks like 2008 will be a busy year for HP.

The company has recently released its new HP iPAQ 112 PDA in Korea, and, according to reports, plans to release another two iPAQ 610 and iPAQ 910 early next year.

HP has partnered with two Taiwanese companies, Foxconn Group and Inventec Appliances, to coordinate its handset production with them.

Samsung's latest SPH-M4650 WM6-based PDA Phone was upgraded with a Marvell PXA 300 Application Processor.

The new CPU will boost overall performance of the handset, as well as optimize multimedia and business applications functionality, while consuming less power.

The new version of the Samsung SPH-M4650 will soon be available in Korea.

The FCC has just approved Toshiba Portege G910 and G920 PDA models.

They both operate on a Qualcomm CPU running Windows Mobile 6 Pro OS, and support 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. Other features include dual cameras with flash, and GPS receiver, though G910 model has it turned off for some reason.

Sharp has introduced its new PDA phone, the so called Advanced/W-Zero3.

The handset, when closed, looks like an ordinary candy bar cell phone, but when you open it, it reveals a QWERTY keyboard and a large 3" WVGA (800x480) screen.

Other features include Windows Mobile 6 OS, Wi-Fi connectivity, Web browser, Microsoft Office Mobile and the ability to read business cards via the in-built 1.

Asus plans to release a new Pocket PC Phone really soon.
