According to BlackBerryNews, the CDMA BlackBerry Pearl 8220 flip will be coming soon to Telus. They've showed some documentation showing a big "Coming Soon" sign next to the phone. And if rumors are to be belived, the most probable release date is sometime in the end of the month.

Verizon customers will be pleased to know that the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 will soon be available on carrier's network. Pricing and availability details weren't revealed yet, but there is a number of test units already available, so the release is extremely close.

The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 will soon be available in CDMA version, as tha handset will be hitting Telus in the nearest future. According to the unofficial info, the phone should be released as early as next month in either black or pink colors.
Possible U.S. carriers for the 8220 are Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint.

According to users at Howard Forums, it appears that Verizon customers owning a BlackBery Pearl 8130 or Curve 8330 can unlock the GPS function on their handsets by upgrading their firmware to version 4.5.0.97. Unfortunately, it looks like BlackBerry Maps is the only application that's able to utilize the internal GPS, Google Maps don't work.
Because the OS version isn't officially supported by Verizon, it might be an intentional concession, or if it was a mistake.

No additional terms were specified, you see the same picture as we do, and it doesn't provide any more details. The BlackBerry 8220 Pearl flip has appeared at the Future Shop. While Rogers hasn't officially announced the phone yet, it is already available through Future Shop for $50 with a 3-year contract. We don't know for how long the handset will be listed there, but the main thing is that the official release on Rogers is coming really soon, so no worries.
