FCC Approves Philips 9@9u

FCC has just approved the Philips Xenium 9@9u.

As you can probably guess, it offers extra long battery life providing up to 8 hours of talk time and one month of standby. However, other models in this series are capable of providing twice as much battery power than this one.

Speaking about the features, the 9@9u comes with tri-band GSM connectivity, 2Mpix camera, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, USB, and MP3 player.

FCC Approves Philips Xenium

FCC has approved the Philips Xenium. This device is an entry-level phone with a clean interface and a 65k color screen; it's also equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera. It is a GSM phone with the usual T9 interface for text input. There are such features in the phone as a calculator, money converter, organizer and a world clock and a couple of basic games. You can record audio up to 12 minutes in duration.

LG Philips Unveils World's Thinnest Mobile Phone Display

The slimmest TFT-LCD panel was announced today by LG Philips LCD. The thickness is only 1.3 mm, making this LCD the slimmest in the world.

This technological breakthrough will enable mobile phone manufacturers to produce mobile phones even slimmer than the 6.9 mm thick phones available today. This panel will also make it possible to create slide-up phones that break the 10 mm barrier.
