Vodafone UK announced several new plans, which are supposed to include unlimited data.
The the starting package costs £25, and those over £40 can also choose unlimited texts, unlimited landline calls, or unlimited Vodafone-to-Vodafone calls to be included in the bundle.
However, there's a fine print saying that data is actually limited to 500MB. Wonder why they used the word "unlimited" in that case.

T-Mobile USA came up with a new prepaid calling option - Pay By The Day.
Each day you use the phone will cost you $1. This includes free calls inside the network, and unlimited calls to any operator between 7:00 PM and 6:59 AM. Calling other operators during daytime hours costs $0.10 per minute.
Prices for SMS messages are $0.10 to send, and $0.05 to receive.

Skype announced a new unlimited plan allowing for unlimited international calls from the U.S.
The plan costs $9.95 a month and offers unlimited calling to 34 countries, including most of Europe, plus Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Malaysia. However, this refers to land line numbers; unlimited calls to cell phones take effect only if you dial U.

Virgin Mobile UK has announced a new pre-paid SIM-only calling plan, called "The Liberty SIM". If you already have a GSM phone and just need a pre-paid SIM card, this plan is for you. Now subscribers can enjoy cheaper wireless rates, from which the price of the phone is excluded. The company offers 300 wireless minutes and 300 SMS messages or 150 wireless minutes and 1000 SMS messages for the same price of 15GBP.
