Alltel has become the last U.S. carrier to offer an unlimited $99 voice plan.

It includes voice services only; this means no extra features such as messaging or data.

However, the company claims this isn't the best plan they have; they just wanted to widen the choice for their customers.

Sprint offers another unlimited plan that some of you could find interesting.

It costs $89.99 a month, it includes unlimited voice, messaging and direct connect, but doesn't include data, Sprint TV and GPS services.

If you're not interested in web surfing and digital TV, then this is a perfect plan for you, otherwise choose the $99 Simply Everything plan and enjoy the unlimited extras.

Verizon to Limit their BroadBand Access Data Plan to 5GB

Just to let you know, starting March 2, Verizon Wireless will limit its BroadBand Access unlimited data plan to 5GB.

Now customers who exceed the 5GB cap will be charged $0.49 for every single megabyte in plus.

I think it's time they rename this supposedly "unlimited" plan to "Simply Limited".

Sprint has launched its "Simply Everything" plan for all CDMA and iDEN customers.

The new plan offers unlimited voice, data, SMS, email, Web, Sprint TV, Sprint Music, GPS navigation, DirectConnect and Group Connect for just $99 per month.

$35 Unlimited Calling Plan by Boost Mobile for Hawaiian Customers

Boost Mobile came up with a $35 unlimited calling plan for its Hawaiian subscribers.

Why is the price so low, you ask? Simple, the calling area was limited to the user's home-area, i.e. Hawaiian Islands. Thus, if you leave the home-area, you'll be charged $0.15 per minute. :)

Additionally, unlimited SMS, unlimited data, and coverage in California and Las Vegas will cost you $5 each.

Following the majority of the American operators, U.S. Cellular announced its own $99 unlimited calling plan.

It includes unlimited national calls, plus unlimited data and text messaging for additional $10 and $15 respectively. The offer will be available for a limited time only.

AT&T didn't fall behind as well, and on February 22 will start offering its new $99 unlimited calling plan, which will include free local and long distance calls within the U.S. borders.

The new plan will be available for both new and existing customers, but unfortunately the only compatible handsets are cell phones; smartphones or PDA's are not supported.

Starting tomorrow T-Mobile will be offering a new unlimited calling and messaging plan for $99 a month.

This plan includes unlimited local calls, free long distance calls, as well as free SMS, MMS and IM messaging.

It will be available for both new and existing subscribers.

Apparently, Verizon is planning to start offering unlimited voice, data and message plans that should take effect on February 19.

These are the options to be available:

  • $100 - Nationwide Unlimited (voice);
  • $120 - Nationwide Select Unlimited (voice, SMS, MMS);
  • $140 - Nationwide Premium (voice, SMS, MMS, VZNav, VCAST, email);
  • $150 - Nationwide Email and Messaging (voice, SMS, MMS, and data);
  • $170 - Nationwide Global Email and Messaging (voice, SMS, MMS, and international data);
  • $200 - Family plan with two lines, $100 per additional line.
