LG announced the European launch of their new silver Prada Phone.

The handset features an SMS-friendly QWERTY keyboard and comes with a bunch of silvery accessories including the leather case with a Prada logo, earphones and the package box.

The new Prada Phone will be released simultaneously in 18 European countries including the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

A Gold version of the famous LG KE850 Prada became available recently.

The phone comes in a 24-karat gold finish and is equipped with a touch-screen using the capacitive technology, which eliminates the necessity of a stylus. Other features remain the same. To name a few, the Prada phone sports a 3" touch-screen, a 2Mpix camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, and a microSD memory card slot.

LG are working on the second version of their Prada phone, which should become a serious competitor to the Apple iPhone. The new version will feature a 5Mpix camera with Xenon flash unlike the 2Mpix one on the iPhone, and HDSPA support, lacking on the Apple's handset. Other features will include a large 3" touch-screen display, MP3 player, FM radio, etc.

Back in February LG presented a new version of their Prada phone based on Windows Mobile 6. The characteristic details were very poor then, but now we know a little more about the upcoming Prada.

The final design of the phone will be very similar to the older model, only thicker. The device will support UMTS/HSDPA and Wi-Fi and will run on Windows Mobile 6 Pro.

The Korean version of the LG Prada phone recently received a new feature - digital TV - which is not yet available anywhere else.

When the first version of LG Prada appeared in Europe it was often compared with the upcoming Apple iPhone because of a large touch-screen, despite that it lacks many of iPhone's multimedia capabilities.

The Prada phone was a luxury phone, without reliable features. But this time the LG KS20 is the Prada brand name phone without any brand name but the device can boast its features.

As far as it is known LG KS20 runs off Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro, 128MB of memory, a 2.8″, 240?320 pixel, 18-bit color touchscreen, a 2.0 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, Bluetooth, WiFi, TV-out, FM radio, and micro SD support.

Earlier we have informed you that LG was collaborating on a high-end fashion phone with Prada. And already LG KE850 PRADA was officially announced, it is the first completely touch screen mobile phone and looks like an iPhone. The device is very stylish, sophisticated and elegant. Prada worked out the advanced touch interface, ring tones, pre-loaded content, mobile phone accessories and the exclusive leather case for the device.

Earlier we informed you about LG intent to produce a phone together with Prada ( Italy ) who produces high-end ready-to-wear clothes and accessories. There are already pictures of the phone available. The new phone is based on the KE850 GSM and uses touch-display for navigation. The phone really looks like a Prada product because of the clean glossy-black look, straight lines and simple yet elegant design.
