Rhapsody Now Allows Users to Keep Music on iPhone

Rhapsody has updated its iPhone client to version 2.0. The new version lets users keep music on their Apple device by creating a playlist and storing the tracks locally. Streaming music is still available anytime your phone has a working 3G or Wi-Fi connection. A Rhapsody subscription costs $10 per month and has a short trial period.

Rhapsody DRM-Free Music Store Opened, Gives Away 100,000 Music Albums for Free

Rhapsody has opened a DRM-free MP3 store. Each track costs $.99, while an album will cost you $9.99. All songs are encoded in 256kpbs CBR.

Users can preview 25 full-length tracks a month from the standard 5 million song catalog. But that's not all, the first 100,000 subscribers to sign-up before July 4th will receive a $10 credit, which can then be spent on a full album of your choice.
