The Carphone Warehouse UK has dropped price for the Nexus S signifficantly. Now you can get it off-contract for £430 ($668), and or for free with a 2-year agreement costing £30 ($47).

People from XDA-Developers have accessed the Nexus S root on the phone's day of release. One of Android team member has written that the Nexus S, like the Nexus One before it, is designed with a user-unlockable bootloader out of the box so it's not that big of a deal.For instruction on how to do it, follow the link below:

It is official the Google's Samsung Nexus S will be available for purchase in US after December 16th from all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores from T-Mobile for $199 with a two-year contract or $529 unlocked. In UK the Nexus S will hit December 20th at Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy UK.Nexus S specs:

Samsung recently announced that it has officially sold 3 million of its Galaxy S smartphones in the United States. There are currently five such devices on the big four major carriers. Verizon Wireless sells the Samsung Fascinate and the Continuum, AT&T sells the Captivate, Sprint sells the Epic 4G, and T-Mobile sells the Vibrant. It's also available on U.S. Cellular. Samsung Mobile has 32.1 percent of the U.

The Nexus S has been leaked onto the net again with new photos and info available, though not 100% precise as of now. More photos available over at XDA-Developers.Rumored specs are:

The Samsung Galaxy S is now finally available from Cellular South. In addition to all standard Galaxy S features, the Cellular South version includes an LED flash for the 5 megapixel camera, a 16GB microSD card pre-installed and the 2GB of internal storage. It is now available for $199.99 with a new contract after a $50 mail-in-rebate.

A new update for LG Optimus S Android smartphone is available from Sprint. The update includes the Swype keyboard, as well as some maintenance fixes that include a remote wipe command, enhanced password policies, and more. It's rolling out over the air, and should update your software to version LS670ZV9.

Today Cellular South started selling the Samsung SCH-i500 Galaxy S, an Android 2.1 powered smartphone. It offers a 4"  Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, and more. It is available online or in-stores for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate and comes with a new 2-year Cellular South contract.

Nexus S has been temporarily shown as available from T-Mobile on their site, after which been quickly removed. But it is still can be seen through the Google cache of that page. The details on Samsung Nexus S specs and features are still unclear, it’s rumored to have a front camera for video chatting capability, Android 2.3, and a 4" Super AMOLED display.
