Verizon's Samsung Omnia owners can now upgrade their handset to Windows Mobile 6.5, as an unofficial WM6.5 ROM has surfaced online yesterday. The GSM version of the said ROM was available for a while now, and the new CDMA works fine and stable as well. Samsung presented two new handsets for the general public, the Preston and Star. MetroPCS has recently launched the Samsung Tint for its customers. The said phone is AWS-enabled, does GPS, supports the carrier's ChatLINK "push-to-talk social networking tool," voice recognition, and has changeable faceplates (pink and grey ones included).

According to BGR, starting May 20th T-Mobile customers will be able to get the new Samsung SGH-T349, a budget messaging handset with a 20 key "SureType" style keypad and support for all kinds of messaging, including MMS/SMS, IM and Email. Among other features there's a 1.3Mpix camera with video capturing capadility and a speakerphone.
