Samsung has quietly revealed its new S7220 Lucido candybar phone with attractive "premium metal" design and pretty solid features.

Specifications for the Samsung S7220 Lucido:

  • Data: GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA;
  • Size: 114mm x 56mm x 12mm (4.5" x 2.2" x 0.5");

Yesterday Samsung and Cricket showcased their new creation - a gigantic working Messager cell phone, made of wood, plastic and lights. There's no doubt it's a good publicity for both companies, not to mention this beast has entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Hm, I wonder what battery it uses...

Continuing the news about today's announcement by Samsung, the second unveiled handset is the S5230. Unlike the S5600, it comes with a 3" WQVGA touchscreen, but lacks HSDPA support. Other features include:

The Verizon's new Samsung u350 Smooth doesn't really look all that smooth to us. Rather it's angular and ugly entry-level clamshell, which has nothing to offer besides the crappy VGA camera, not even a memory card slot. Good thing it'll cost you nothing, if you buy it from on contract after a $50 rebate.
