Samsung to Unveil 12Mpix phone at MWC 2009?

According to leaked info from a couple of Korean news sources, Samsung is planning to reveal a new 12Mpix cameraphone at the upcoming MWC 2009 expo in Barcelona. They claim that mass production of the handset will begin at the end of February with the European launch expected soon thereafter.

We'll have to wait a few weeks for the official confirmation/denial of this rumor, so stay tuned.

AT&T Samsung Propel Pro

AT&T will soon be offering a new smartphone from Samsung called Propel Pro. It is a minor update from the current Samsung Propel. The phone will be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, and will feature the optical joystick, 3G connectivity, QWERTY keyboard and a built-in camera.

Here's a new hands-on video of the Samsung Show (formally known as the W7900), published by PopSci, who were lucky enough to play with the upcoming projector-phone. The handset will be released first in Korea, and will include the following specs:

  • 3.2" OLED display (400 x 240 resolution);
  • Quad-band GSM connectivity;
  • 7.2Mbps HSDPA;
  • 5Mpix camera;
  • Video calling;
  • 10 lumen projector (scales 480 x 320 images to 50");

Samsung Louve and Pivot Revealed

Expansys has reveale some details about two upcoming Windows Mobile phones from Samsung, called the Louve and the Pivot.

Samsung Louve is a Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro based handset with a tilting screen, 3.2Mpix camera, customizable widget UI and a design similar to the TyTN II.

Samsung Pivot
is a WinMo6.5 smartphone, basically an updated Samsung i780.
