Samsung has started producing its own WiMAX and LTE chips, and according to the source is already sampling them to partners inside and outside the company.

Currently the only producer of such chips is Qualcomm, but apparently things will change soon.

Here's a Samsung U600 handset designed for Hello Kitty fans. Actually, the Hello Kitty branding is the only difference of this version from the original one. The phone is available now through a number of online retailers for a price ranging between $229 and $399.

Pictures of Palm Treo Pro 850 and a pink version of Samsung Instinct have been spotted today at Best Buy. The in-stock date is said to be January 25th, so if you're interetsed in either of these phones, you've got about a month left to wait.

2009 is going to be the year of Android for sure. Today Samsung has announced its plans on releasing a new Android-based phone on both Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile US networks in Q2 next year.
