2009 is going to be the year of Android for sure. Today Samsung has announced its plans on releasing a new Android-based phone on both Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile US networks in Q2 next year.

Today FCC has approved the new Samsung T929 Memoir destined for T-Mobile. This could only mean that this 8Mpix beast is nearing its official release.
Specifications of the Memoir should include a 8Mpix camera, GPS, HSDPA, and Stereo Bluetooth, though it looks like it will lack Wi-Fi, which is really bad.

FCC has shared some information regarding the Samsung M8800 Pixon, which will obviously be heading towards AT&T, as it supports the 1900MHz and 850MHz WCDMA bands. Apart from that, this 8Mpix camearphone will have all the same features as its European counterpart.
Unlike previously thought, it seems the M8800 won't be arriving to T-Mobile anytime soon.

Samsung's i900 Omnia is soon to reach Russia under the name of Samsung WiTu. It may sound very different, basically it's still the original Omnia.
It will be available only in the 16GB variant and will have widgets with shortcuts to popular Russian websites. The exact release date is unknown yet.
