Yesterday we've mentioned the Samsung i900L, and thought it was the North American version of the Samsung Omnia for AT&T. Well, it's not. Actually this handset is destined for South America, and should be out in Venezuela, or even Brazil. Pity...

Samsung Omnia features:

• Stereo Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity;
• 3.2" WQVGA (240 × 400 resolution) touchscreen;
• 5Mpix camera with auto-focus;
• Face and smile detection;
• Windows Mobile 6.

Samsung GT-S3600 s a new stylish entry-level cell phone, which looks like it is a part of Samsung's Soul lineup. The price is not yet revealed, but don't expect it to cost more than $100 unlocked, let alone with a contract. Known features of the phone include:

• GSM/EDGE;
• 1.3Mpix camera;
• FM radio with RDS;
• Bluetooth 2.0+EDR

A recent FCC filing revealed some i900L phone model at their labs supporting WCDMA 850/1900 and destined for AT&T. We believe it could be the Samsung Omnia, though it's just a supposition. Stay tuned for confirmation.

Samsung has released a new firmware update for its Instinct handset. It should fix some interface issues and boost up the browser's rerformance. You can download the update via Instinct’s Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) service, but be advised that you need to have the previous firmware version installed. If you have an older version, you'll have to install two latest updates one by one.

Verizon Wireless has announced three new phones today, which it intends to release on October 14. They are the Motorola Rapture VU30, Motorola VU204, and the Samsung Sway.

Motorola Rapture is a clamshell phone with an interesting design, which comes equipped with a 1.6” external display, 2.2" QVGA internal display,  2Mpix camera, microSD card slot, stereo Bluetooth, and a 2.

The Samsung SGH-i616 from Rogers has received today a Windows Mobile 6.1 update. Key features of Windows Mobile 6.1 include:

• Instant messaging-like texting;
• Improved Internet browsing;
• Simpler e-mail and Bluetooth setup;
• New Home screen interface;
• New Getting Started Center;
• Security enhancements;
• Easier Wi-Fi connection;
• More personal choice

We have a list of specifications for the upcoming Samsung i7110, which was first seen in August. The phone will probably be launched during Symbian Smartphone Show that will take place in London within 20 days from now, then we'll find out the exact release date.

Ok, the Samsung i7110 specs will include:

• 3G (HSDPA) support, GSM/EDGE;
• Symbian S60 9.

The Samsung i780 has landed on AT&T under a different name, the Samsung i907 "Epix". Atleast that's what they say on this AT&T's training poster snagged by Boy Genius. According to it, the training date is scheduled on October 23rd, which means we won't have to wait much.. Specifications should be similar to those of the i780 model:

• UMTS/HSDPA;
• 320x320 pixel touch screen;
• GPS;
• 2Mpix camera;
• Wi-Fi;
• Windows Mobile Professional 6.

Samsung has launched its two latest clamshell handsets, the SCH-W570 and SPH-W5700. Each features a dual 2.2” touchscreen with dedicated UI, which offers you the same experience no matter whether the handset is closed or open. This means you won't have to open the handset to access your data or multimedia content. Other features include support for 3G GSM/WCDMA networks, and 3Mpix camera.

Verizon will be releasing their new Samsung Sway U650 on October 14th. Specifications are nothing special:

• 2Mpix camera;
• Music player;
• microSDHC slot;
• Bluetooth connectivity

Be advised, EV-DO support seems to be meesing, so you won’t be able to enjoy over-the-air Music Download with Verizon.
