Yesterday we've mentioned the Samsung i900L, and thought it was the North American version of the Samsung Omnia for AT&T. Well, it's not. Actually this handset is destined for South America, and should be out in Venezuela, or even Brazil. Pity...

Samsung has released a new firmware update for its Instinct handset. It should fix some interface issues and boost up the browser's rerformance. You can download the update via Instinct’s Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) service, but be advised that you need to have the previous firmware version installed. If you have an older version, you'll have to install two latest updates one by one.

The Samsung SGH-i616 from Rogers has received today a Windows Mobile 6.1 update. Key features of Windows Mobile 6.1 include:
- Instant messaging-like texting;
- Improved Internet browsing;
- Simpler e-mail and Bluetooth setup;
- New Home screen interface;
- New Getting Started Center;
- Security enhancements;
- Easier Wi-Fi connection;
- More personal choice

The Samsung i780 has landed on AT&T under a different name, the Samsung i907 "Epix". Atleast that's what they say on this AT&T's training poster snagged by Boy Genius. According to it, the training date is scheduled on October 23rd, which means we won't have to wait much.. Specifications should be similar to those of the i780 model:
- UMTS/HSDPA;
- 320x320 pixel touch screen;
- GPS;
- 2Mpix camera;
- Wi-Fi;
- Windows Mobile Professional 6.
