The new Samsung SCH-W460 has been approved today by the FCC. It is an entry level clamshell with the following specifications:
- Internal 2" 176 x 220 262k TFT LCD;
- External 1" 96 x 96 LCD display;
- microSD memory card slot;
- 1.3Mpix CMOS camera;
- 26MB internal memory;
- 99 x 49.5 x 16.5mm;
- 104 grams
No word on pricing and availability.

AT&T will soon be offering a new
low-end clamshell, the Samsung A237.
Details are scarse, but as far
as we know it will feature quad-band GSM/EDGE support, Bluetooth, and
a camera.
The phone will be available in blue and red most likely for
free with a contract.

Next month three Singaporean MNOs, M1, SingTel and StarHub in colaboration with the national broadcaster MediaCorp, plan to conduct a consumber Mobile TV trial using DVB-H.
For a limited time 300 customers (across the MNOs) will be able to see six dedicated channels.
The handset selected for the trial is the Samsung P960.

The LG's new CB630 "Invision" is the latest phone to join the AT&T's Mobile TV family.
Basically, it is a clone of the Samsung Access, and will be available for $99.99 on contract with a $50 rebate starting August 13th.

Sprint has released the first firmware update for the Samsung Instinct. The new version BF30 is said to include various bug fixes, though no specific details were given on what exactly it fixes.
Anyway, all willing can update their handset by going to Main > Settings > General > Update Phone.

As expected, Samsung has anounced its i740 smartphone. As expected, it will lack 3G support and Wi-Fi, instead it will offer EDGE, GPS, a 3.2Mpix camera, FM radio and other nice stuff, which however won't make me wanna buy the handset... Nevertheless, if you like the i740 you'll be able to get it for €300 ($469) when it launches in Europe in October.
