Samsung and Sprint have officially launched the Instinct HD. The handset is based on the features of its predecessors, and offers:

• 5Mpix camera with 720p (1280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps) video capture capabitity;
• HD TV-out (720p via HDMI);
• High-speed video at 80 fps at 480p resolution;
• Opera Mobile 9.7 web browser;
• Wi-Fi;
• Including accelerometer, light sensor and proximity sensor;
• Sprint's EVDO Rev.

An alleged internal Sprint memo has confirmed that the upcoming Samsung Instinct HD will be available to Sprint customers starting September 27th. To clarify, it will be launched on 26th, and released the next day. It is expected to go for between $99 and $149 on contract. Windows Mobile 6.5 will officially launch on October 6th, and while major mobile phone manufacturers are prepping some new handsets with the preinstalled WM6.5, what about those customers who have decent smartphones that still run the old 6.1 version and don't want to change them? 

Well, it looks like Samsung OMNIA I900 owners got lucky as thhey'll be getting an official WM6.

A new low-end phone has landed on Sprint. It's called the Samsung M330 in is as basic as can be - VGA cam and no support for EV-DO - but it'll cost you $0 on contract after rebate, which is really nice. The phone is available now.

The new Samsung W910 'VVIP' could be easily mistaken as an Armani-branded phone due to its unique design and golden shells. But it's not. However the actual W820 Armani model doesn't look that appealing, which makes us think they've lost their inspiration.

Verizon has recently released the new Samsung Rogue, a successor to the old Glyde model. It comes with a 3.1" AMOLED display, a 3Mpix camera with flash and integrated editor, microSD support up to 16GB, full HTML browsing, Microsoft Office document viewing, TouchWiz, and a full slide-out keyboard. You can get it now for $99.99 on contract.

Samsung has recently announced the availability of the Samsung Freeform via Alltel. It will not make your jaw drop, but it’s certainly a nice messaging option for the Alltel customers in the remaining markets.
