Verizon will be launching the new Samsung U430 phone on its network. The phone was recently approved by the FCC, is very basic, lacks any multimedia features, and appears to be the replacement for the older U410 model. It will be available for free with a contract.

Samsung U430 features:

It's better late than never, I guess. The outdated Samsung SPH-A523, also known as the Helio Mysto is now featured at the Telus website. It is available for $99 on 3 years, $149 on 2, $299 on 1 year, and $349 without contract.

Today Sprint announced they would start selling the Samsung Instinct on June 20 for just $129.99 with a 2-year contract and $100 mail-in rebate. Cheaper than the 3G iPhone, you think? Wrong... In order to activate the phone, you must subscribe for one of Sprint's unlimited data plans. And while the cheapest plan will cost you $69.99 per month (with 450 minutes of talk-time), the price for the handset becomes the same as iPhone's.
