While everyone waits for the CES 2008 that will take place in January, Samsung decided to go ahead and unveil two of its new handsets in Ukraine.

They are the F490 and the lower-end P720.

The first one is a 3G HSDPA-capable phone with a huge 3.

Samsung Anycall J758 is the company's newest 3G handset.

There is nothing special about it, features are pretty usual for a simple cell phone and include a 1.3Mpix camera, 3G connectivity, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, 1.8" 262K TFT color display, 8MB of internal memory + External SD (up to 1GB). In addition, it comes with Google features like Mail and Search.

Samsung's latest SPH-M4650 WM6-based PDA Phone was upgraded with a Marvell PXA 300 Application Processor.

The new CPU will boost overall performance of the handset, as well as optimize multimedia and business applications functionality, while consuming less power.

The new version of the Samsung SPH-M4650 will soon be available in Korea.

Sad news from Samsung.

As you probably know, the company's new F700 won't be available in the U.S. by Christmas. And now we find out that the much anticipated Samsung U940 won't appear under our X-mas tree either, as it has just passed the FCC and today is already December 19. We don't know the exact release date, but nevermind that.

It is a 3G cell phone equipped with a media player, an embedded digicam, microSD slot, security tracing and sound recording. It measures 99 x 48 x 17.8 mm and weighs just 79 grams.

Available colors include black, pink, and silver, blue and red color scheme.

Samsung has announced its newest Anycall F338 Celebrity Edition music phone.

The handset comes bundled with mini live performances of Justin Cheng, Kary Ng and RubberBand and delivers outstanding sound quality.

Anycall F338 features include HSDPA connectivity, 2Mpix camera with 4x digital zoom + front VGA cam for video calls, quick access to the music interface, stereo Bluetooth with A2DP, and a microSDHC slot (up to 4GB).

FCC has just approved the new Samsung U940, of which we first heard last month.

There is almost no information available about the device, but judging by the pictures it is most likely an update for the Samsung F700.

It has a wide touch-sensitive display, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, and might also feature a 2Mpix camera, 150MB of on-board, a microSD slot, and Stereo Bluetooth.

The new Samsung SGH-T819 has been recently approved by the FCC and will be available soon from T-Mobile USA.

It is an entry-level 3G handset supporting 1700MHz UMTS network.

Other features are pretty low-end, so we can expect a low price when it ships.

Samsung T739 Katalyst became yet another cell phone to support T-Mobile's HotSpot @Home service.

Customers will be able to switch between GSM and Wi-Fi networks during voice calls. Features include quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, 1.3Mpix camera, speaker-independent voice recognition, and a microSD slot (up to 2GB).

Samsung has released in Korea a special edition of its SPH-W2400 phone, with an AMOLED display.

AMOLED screens provide higher performance than regular LCDs. Other features of this handset include HSDPA compatibility, 2Mpix camera, Bluetooth, DMB, built-in media player, and more.
