Today Sprint announced they would start selling the Samsung Instinct on June 20 for just $129.99 with a 2-year contract and $100 mail-in rebate. Cheaper than the 3G iPhone, you think? Wrong... In order to activate the phone, you must subscribe for one of Sprint's unlimited data plans. And while the cheapest plan will cost you $69.99 per month (with 450 minutes of talk-time), the price for the handset becomes the same as iPhone's.

Apparently, Samsung is planning to launch its new SPH-W5000 pretty soon. The phone's photo was posted on the company's website, and I must say it looks great. And now let's take a look at its features:

Samsung has finally announced its i900 Omnia. We knew about its features long before its announcement, but let's recap them anyway:

• Networks: quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE + HSDPA 7.2Mbps;
• Connectivity: USB, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), Wi-Fi;
• Display: 3.2" WQVGA (240×400 pixels) touchscreen;
• Camera: 5Mpix with auto-focus, ace and smile detection, auto-panorama shots;
• OS/UI: Windows Mobile 6.

Unlike what we seen previously, this new photo of the Samsung SGH-i900 is clear and finally gives us the full idea of how the device looks.

While the phone offers some decent specifications like a 240 x 400 display, 5Mpix camera, 16GB of onboard memory, HSDPA, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, we somehow have a feeling it will cost much more than we think...

According to a leaked presentation from Verizon, the carrier will apparently be offering the Samsung i770 and Treo 800w smartphones in the near future.

• The Samsung i770 is an upgrade to the i760 model, which doubles the memory, has a better 2Mpix camera and runs Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.
  
• Regarding the Treo 800w, it will be available in Q3 2008.

A couple of promo shots of the T-Mobile's Samsung T229 phone are now available.

There's nothing special about this phone - a simple quad-band GSM/EDGE red-painted clamshell with two screens, Bluetooth, and a 0(or 1).3Mpix camera.

You can get it now for almost free with a 2-year contract.

Shortly after the release of the U900 Soul, Samsung has launched another handset in the U-series, the new U800 Soulb ("soul bee") candybar in Korea.

The new phone should be available in June in Germany, followed by other regions in the near future.

Samsung has announced the upcoming availability of its new SGH-F480 TouchWiz touchscreen smartphone.

The device will be released in the European market on June 2008, with other regions to follow. Here's the official set of its specs:
