PhoneArena have obtained some shots of the upcoming Sprint has Samsung M560 Reclaim. It appears to be a wide portrait QWERTY slider with a landscape QVGA display, 2Mpix camera, GPS, fast access to popular social networks like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, and... it uses the same corn-based shell as the E200 Eco, which mean's it's "green". Literally, since there's a green color option.

WiFi Alliance has approved a lower end version of the Samsung i7500 Galaxy, called the i5700 "Galaxy-lite". There is no information available about it's specs, except the fact that it runs Android OS, and is Wi-Fi enabled (duh), but we expect to find out more about it shortly.

MetroPCS introduces a custom version of the Samung r450 Messager, designed by artist Mister Cartoon. The phone comes with a custom backplate, custom paint job, and will include Mister Cartoon wallpapers, ringtones and animations. 30,000 of customized handsets will produced, with the launch scheduled for month. Pricing wasn't announced yet.

Verizon is likely to release a new QWERTY slider on August 15th. The Samsung u960 "Rogue" is a replacement for the Glyde model, and will be available at an "attractive and competitive" price, according to the source. Well, it looks good, packs a decent set of features - what else could you want?

The new Samsung’s R560 feature phone was spotted with the MetroPCS branding at Samsung’s website yesterday. Known is Canada as Samsung Vice, this device is the successor to the outdated R450 Messager model, and offers the following specs:
- Tri-band CDMA;
- EV-DO 3G connectivity;
- 2Mpix camera;
- Bluetooth;
- Memory card slot
There was no confirmation that the handset is coming to MetroPCS, so don't get excited just yet.

AT&T will be releasing a new low-end touchscreen phone for its customers on August 2nd. Formerly known as the Infinity, the new Samsung A887 Solstice will be available in stores nationwide this coming Sunday at $99.99 on a 2-year contract, $174.99 on a 1-year contract and $249.99 outright. All prices include a $50 mail-in rebate.

A couple of new live shots as well as spec info of the upcoming Samsung T659 Scarlet have recently appeared on CellPhoneSignal. According to the source, the phone will feature:
- Quad-band GSM connectivity;
- Dual-band 3G (1700/2100 MHz);
- 2Mpix camera;
- Bluetooth;
- microSD slot;
- MP3 player
Reportedly, the launch date has been pushed back due to the Gravity 2’s release, but a new one has not been announced.

The FCC has approved a version of the Samsung Omnia II (i8000L) with support for North American 3G bands - WCDMA bands II and V. The thing is that it's not coming to the U.S. Carriers in Latin America use these bands too, and the phone is destined to that market. However, nothing prevents you from bringing one of these in the U.S. or Canada and use it on either AT&T or Rogers.

Samsung has announced the upcoming release of the WiMAX-capable MID called Mondi on Sprint’s Clearwire network in Atlanta, Las Vegas and Portland. As the first U.S. device to take advantage of WiMAX, the Mondi is sure to grab a lot of attention, despite being limited geographically. It will be available at Best Buy at $349 on a 2-year Clearwire contract, or $449 outright starting August 1st.
