Sidekick fans will be glad to see this. If this puicture is real, we see here the new T-mobile Sidekick LX 2009, which is yet to be announced officially. And if the information provided is correct, the device will feature:

According to PCD, there will be a couple of new Sidekicks coming to T-Mobile sometime this year. Unlike the existing models, the new ones will most likely feature both 3G and Wi-Fi support, which is something you don't want to miss on a decent handset.

T-Mobile has announced its latest Sidekick phone today.
The 2008 model is a bit a smaller than the previous ones, but the design remained pretty much the same. In addition, the Sidekick 2008 offers interchangeable shells, which can also be customized directly on the carrier's website ($15).

T-Mobile will soon start ofering an over-the-air firmware update for the Sidekick LX. Added features will include video record, play and share capabilities, an alarm clock, support for stereo Bluetooth support and Bluetooth file transfer, and more.

A new red version of the Motorola Sidekick Slide has been released by T-Mobile.
This variant is called Scarlet, and features the same QVGA display, 1.3Mpix camera, microSD slot, and Hiptop-first sliding display as the original. The price is $199.99 on contract.

How nice! Mororola's Sidekick phones can now run NES games thanks to a new application by AcidAngel.
It is a fully functional NES emulator that uses ROMs to run old Nintendo games.
We don't know if the program is freeware (ROM's are illegal, you know) and when it will be available.
Anyway, the idea itself is cool; I personally wouldn't mind to bring back my old days, when I couldn't tear myself away from the TV screen.

According to BGR, the Motorola Sidekick Slide will still be available from T-Mobile, and in a new color.
The launch should take place in late May or early June. The device will come in a nice shade of red with the same black shell as the original. So if you didn't like the purple keyboard, now you have an alternative.

The first mention of the Sharp's Sidekick 4 (a.k.a. Shuriken) dates back to August 2007. Earlier this month at CES 2008 it has finally been presented as a new PDA, the Sharp PV250. The device has a swiveling display, which can be viewed in different angles, a QWERTY keyboard, a 1.3Mpix camera, and a microSD slot.

Looks like all issues with T-Mobile's Sidekick Slide have been resolved (quite fast!) and now the handset is once again available for purchase... Well, atleast it has somehow re-appeared on the carrier's website, though both T-Mobile and Motorola keep silent. There are no price changes; the phone still costs $199 with a 2- year contract, so I guess all willing can get it now.
