Motorola is about to release its slimmest handset, the Slim i290. It has a slim look similar to some of the previous models and has push-to-talk capability and obviously a music player, as it comes with a mini-USB connector for side-loading data and a 2.5mm headphone jack. Unfortunately, there is no camera on the phone.

There were no official release dates announced, but expect Motorola Slim i290 to be available really soon in Canada on the Telus Mike service and on the U.

The Koreans together with Sprint carrier launches new slim Samsung SPH-M610 phone. The point that captures attention and works in favour of the clamshell is its thickness being just 0.47” (11mm). It is rather small phone when combined with internal antenna.

The SPH-M610 has small caller ID external display and color QVGA internal one, and 2-megapixel camera.

Samsung today announced the SGH-Z560, the latest slim handset to support high-speed HSDPA connectivity for up to 1.8 Mbps data throughput.

With a depth of mere 16 mm, the handset includes advanced features such as a 2.0-megapixel camera with auto focus, external touch music keys, 30 MB of internal memory, and microSD external memory slot. While slim, the Z560 uses a large 2.3-inch QVGA 262K-color LCD to ensure a clear and sharp screen image.

Samsung announced its launch of the SGH-I320, a new slim QWERTY smartphone measuring just 11.5 mm in depth and 95 g in weight.

The QWERTY keyboard has the same keyboard layout used in personal computers, enabling users to send emails and text messages far more conveniently; such a fun and simple methodology proved to be a huge success amongst consumers in the U.S. and Europe.

The I320 operates with Windows Mobile 5.
