BenQ presented its two new smartphones at MWC, the NFC-capable T80 and the lower-end T60.

The first model features a 2.2" display, 3Mpix camera, microSD slot, uses Near Field communication technology, and is DLNA compliant.

The T60 is an ordinary smartphone equipped with a 2Mpix camera and the largest screen among all handsets thinner than 10mm.

Torch Mobile presents the Iris Web browser for Windows Mobile 6 smartphones.

It is a light and fast browser that delivers a realistic web experience, and features a virtual mouse for easy navigation, page zooming, two display modes (automatic change on devices with accelerometers), support for multiple different types of input, and SSL support for security.

Sony Ericsson has extended its G-series with the new G700 and G900 smartphones with PDA functionality.

In other words, these are two "touchscreen organizers" that “keep your contacts, calendars, notes, pictures and favorite Web sites all in one place and just a fingertip away”.

LG presents its new high-end smartphone, the KT610.

It runs on S60 platform, comes with a 2.4" VGA "flip screen" and a QWERTY keyboard, and features HSDPA 3.6 connectivity and integrated GPS functionality.

A member of the xda-developers forums has developed a notification utility called smartWatchM, which allows for certain data interchange between a Sony Ericsson MBW-150 Watch and Sony Ericsson phones or Windows Mobile based smartphones.

Softbank introduced a new smartphone that it plans to release in Japan this April. The device is called HTC X03HT and will sport the following features:

HTC announced that they have passed the 2 million mark with their Touch smartphones, including the Touch, Touch Slide and Touch Color.

The sales are going great; in just 3 months starting October 2007, when the company has reported the first million sold, they've managed to double this achievement.

Skyfire presents its new mobile web browser for smartphones.

Unlike other browsers Skyfire can display web pages in their original desktop view, thus providing full desktop-like experience on a smartphone. It also supports all existing web technologies, including Flash, Java, Ajax, etc.

There is a free beta version for Windows Mobile based devices available on the company's website.
