Right after Google has announced its Android OS and the upcoming GPhone there appeared images of the possible look of the company's future handset.

The first Android OS demo unit is called Google Dream, and as you can see on the picture it looks very similar to the old HTC Omni.

BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Releaded in the UK

RIM and O2 have released the new BlackBerry Pearl 8120 smartphone in the UK.

The device has the same sleek and stylish design as the previous versions and is available in a new Blue finish. Some of its main features include:

  • New enhanced UI;
  • 2Mpix photo/video camera with 5x zoom, capable of recording videos at 240x180 or 176x144 pixel resolutions;
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.

Samsung M4650 Multi-Touch Introduced

Here is another WM6-based smartphone from Samsung with a touch-sensitive screen.

The device is called M4650 Multi-Touch and features a 2.8" LCD display, which gives a gentle shake whenever you touch it. However, it doesn't support multiple touches, so don't get fooled by the phone's name.

AT&T is going to release today  the Motorola Q9h Global 3G smartphone.

The device supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band HSDPA 3.6MBps networks, runs on Windows Mobile 6 OS, and features a QWERTY keyboard, built-in GPS, 2Mpix camera with flash and 7 shortcut keys to frequently used applications.

Palm Treo 750 Updated: Support for Mobile Device Center and GPS Software

Palm plans to update their Treo 750 smartphone to be fully compatible with Microsoft System Mobile Device Center 2008 software.

This will allow IT specialists to remotely manage their devices and will give more control over their sistem and functions. In addition, Palm in association with Garmin has developed GPS Navigator software for Palm OS based devices.

HTC Shadow from T-Mobile

T-Mobile has just introduced its latest Windows Mobile 6 based smartphone, called the Shadow.

The device is manufactured by HTC and comes with a SureType keypad, easy to use UI, and a D-pad, also useable as a scroll wheel for navigation through the menus. Some of the features include quad-band GSM/EDGE support, stereo Bluetooth, 2Mpix camera, microSD slot, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Pantech Duo Preview

The BGR got their hands on the upcoming Pantech Duo smartphone and made a little preview.

According to them the device comes with an ergonomic QWERTY keyboard, supports 3G connectivity, operates on Windows Mobile 6 Standard OS, and provides great voice and audio quality.

Overall it's a cool device concerning that we've first heard of it a year ago.

Two New Smartphones from i-mate

I-mate has introduced two new smartphones, called the 8502 and 9502.

The first one is a candy bar handset with a 2.6" QVGA display and 2Mpix camera, and the other is a slider with a 2.8" VGA display and 3Mpix camera.

Common features include quad-band GSM, tri-band 3G with HSDPA and HSUPA, Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS, 400MHz CPU, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, Wi-Fi, integrated GPS, stereo Bluetooth, MP3 player and QWERTY keyboard.
