This one is probably Chinese... Clearly a rip off device, this handset steals the branding from OQO (manufacturer is not OQO, according to UMPC Portal), while at the same time imitates the design of some of the Palm’s popular smartphones. But the main thing is that the OQO G900 runs Windows Mobile 6.1. How they managed to get a license from Microsoft is a mistery, but it wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a modified version, taken from another handset.

Telcel announced that in the near future it will start selling the Pantech’s dual-faced C810 Duo in Mexico. This is the first generation model and is not to be confused with the Pantech Duo 2 (C820), which has recently passed the FCC.

Some of the phone's features include:

• Windows Mobile 6 OS;
• Full QWERTY keyboard and a standard numeric keypad;
• EDGE/UMTS (HSDPA) radios;
• Bluetooth;
• 1.

FCC approved a new version of the HTC Touch Diamond smartphone, which supports U.S. 3G spectrum bands, namely WCDMA 850/1900.

They also confirmed the presence of Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and Wi-Fi.

Global Certification Forum (GCF) has approved a new smartphone, developed by Asus for O2, the O2 Xda Zest. Currently the details are scarce, we only know that it will run Windows Mobile, like all Xda's, and will feature tri-band GSM/UMTS 2100 radios, as well as video telephony and web browsing.

As expected, Samsung has anounced its i740 smartphone. As expected, it will lack 3G support and Wi-Fi, instead it will offer EDGE, GPS, a 3.2Mpix camera, FM radio and other nice stuff, which however won't make me wanna buy the handset...
Nevertheless, if you like the i740 you'll be able to get it for €300 ($469) when it launches in Europe in October.

As expected, T-Mobile UK has released the Nokia 6650 clamshell smartphone that was unveiled back at the CeBIT 2008 show in Germany. It should be already available for purchase.

The new Samsung i740 will probably be a step back for the manufacturer, as being a smartphone this model lacks both 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. That's a definite deal breaker for most of the buyers. In rest, features seem pretty decent:
