Finally, Huawei is now selling its mid-tier phone directly to the US through Amazon.The device features 4.3-inch screen, dual-core 1.5GHz processor and lightly customized Android 4.0.Moreover, it comes in an unlocked form with a proper US warranty.

January 30 is the day, when the upcoming BlackBerry 10 smartphones are to be officially unveiled, along with their features and specifications.There are two new handsets that are expected to be announced on stage: the BlackBerry X10 with its hardware QWERTY keyboard and the BlackBerry Z10 with a full touchscreen interface.So, it comes as no surprise that we are already seeing them pass through the FCC.

It looks like T-Mobile is preparing to launch a low-end feature phone with full QWERTY keyboard - ZTE F555 aka Wombat.It has been caught at the FCC and from there we learn it’s most likely heading to the T-Mo's prepaid offering.The Wombat also comes with Bluetooth support, 1700MHz 3G and 850/1900MHz GSM/EDGE connectivity, and 2MP camera.

Well, finally we have some more images of the upcoming Huawei trio: Huawei D2, Mate and W1.The Ascend W1 looks much like we've seen from live shots, just with newer black and pink hues; the Ascend D2 now doesn't seem so rainbow-like, but supports what's been claimed of the 5-inch phone's aesthetic and custom interface.And, finally, the Ascend Mate despite representing the company's stand-out device, is the least surprising.

 The Xperia Z "Yuga" and ZL "Odin" have made a premature debut on the Japanese tech giant's site on New Year's Day.The Xperia Z shot appears to be in line with earlier leaks, while the ZL is quite more compact variant, possibly squeezing the same hardware into a smaller shell.The devices are rumored to include 5-inch 1080p LCDs, quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processors with 2 gigs of RAM and Adreno 320 graphics, along with a 13-megapixel Exmor RS sensor on the rear.

Carphone Warehouse UK is trying to smooth things out with some special prices, as the Nexus 4 goes for free on Orange, Vodafone and O2.It comes on 24-month agreements regardless which of the three carriers that interest you. With Orange you will only pay a monthly fee of £26 there, which will include 500 minutes in any network, 400 minutes and 250 MB of data, or 200 minutes and 750 MB, while Vodafone has the Nexus 4 starting at £33 a month, while O2’s plans go for £31 and up.

According to Korean sources, the Galaxy S4 that’s almost certainly due out in April 2013, will feature S Pen support.Until now it was a GNote-exclusive function, so, Samsung might be looking to kill the Note “phablet” line adding such "feature" to this device.The super-phone will be coming with a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, a quad-core Exynos 5440 CPU, a 13 MP rear-facing shooter and Android 4.

Huawei has confirmed the majority of their releases for CES 2013, and reports and images are flooding in, saying that the Ascend D2 will feature a 5-inch screen with the same large UI of Huawei’s Ascend Mate.The feature that it will be missing, is the fifth column of icons.Also, the device appears to be made with premium materials and we are speculating that it will pack a punch on the inside.

According to recently unveiled tech info, the Vivo 4.65 HD smartphone features a 4.65-inch display (of the Super AMOLED variation), a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 CPU under the hood, Android 4.0 ICS, 1 GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear-facing snapper, 3G/HSPA connectivity and “true” dual SIM capability allowing both SIMs to be active and receive call simultaneously.Vivo 4.65 HD will start selling in January 2013 for $299.

HTC One S users should be happy to hear that Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean is now available for global users to download.Promised in July of 2012, the Android 4.1.1 never reached fruition as projected.No carrier has stated that any of the U.S. models of the One S have started to receive the update but it’s a good idea to check your model if you’re a subscriber.
