Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson have joined forces to develop a universal flash memory card that can be used in any digital device regardless of manufacturer.

It will use the Universal Flash Storage technology, which will make it a lot faster and more efficient, and should appear in 2009.

The new Sony Ericsson W910i has been approved by the FCC and will soon be available for purchase.

It is a 3G walkman phone measuring just 99 x 50 x 12.5mm and weighing in at 86 grams, which features HSDPA connectivity to deliver lightning fast data speeds, and offers full Java support.

The package includes: 1GB Memory Stick Micro card, battery, charger, USB cable, stereo portable handsfree, and PC sync application.

Apparently, Sony Ericsson plans to release a new gaming phone that will feature motion sensitive controls, like those seen on the Nintendo Wii, and will have nothing in common with Sony PSP.

Of course, none of the mentioned above is proven, only rumors, but if this handset actually ships, it will definitely become a serious rival to the new Nokia N81.

It is an 8GB music phone model, featuring a large multifunctional touch-screen, allowing users to manage the phone's media player, watch high-quality photos and videos, and supports handwriting recognition.

Apparently, a new iPhone competitor is coming soon from Sony Ericsson.

This blurry picture of the upcoming Cybershot phone has appeared recently in the Web, and does not represent the Japan-only SO905i Cybershot handset, which some have claimed was on the photo.

So, this is good news for those looking for an iPhone alternative.

AT&T has just started offering the Sony Ericsson Z310a cell phone. 

The device was announced in the end of 2006, and though it has pretty low-tech features, the design is great and may be Z310's main attraction point. The handset comes in Jet Black and Lush Pink colors and has a 65k color STN internal display, a monochrome external display, a VGA camera, and Bluetooth connectivity.

T650i is the latest handset from Sony Ericsson currently available in China. This good looking phone comes in a stainless steel body with mineral glass screen and measures 12.5mm thick.

T650i's features include a 3.2Mpix AF camera, Bluetooth A2DP connectivity, M2 expandable memory and FM radio.

The Z310 is a budget clamshell handset available in Jet Black and Lush Pink color schemes. You can get it for free after a 2-year contract with AT&T.

The second one is a more interesting phone.

The W580 Walkman is a quad-band GSM music slider available in white, grey and black colors.

Sony Ericsson and Mobile Complete have just launched an on-line testing service, called Sony Ericsson Virtual Lab, which will allow Java developers to save time and resources needed for creating and testing J2ME apps and games for Sony Ericsson handsets.

The new service is available globally to all members of Sony Ericsson Developer World and provides support for pre-commercial mobile phones released by the company.

Sony Ericsson has just announced its newest Cyber-shot camera-phone, the K770. Like all handsets from the Cyber-shot family this one features an auto-focus lens system, but despite that remains considerably thin, measuring 14.5mm in profile. The camera itself is very easy to use, thanks to shortcut function keys on the keypad and simple activation.
