Sony Ericsson has extended its G-series with the new G700 and G900 smartphones with PDA functionality.

In other words, these are two "touchscreen organizers" that “keep your contacts, calendars, notes, pictures and favorite Web sites all in one place and just a fingertip away”.

Meet the XPERIA X1, a new high-end smartphone from Sony Ericsson.

It was presented yesterday at MWC show in Barcelona and has all the chances to become a real hit.

There aren't too many details about this handset, but as far as we know it runs on Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional OS and comes with a 3" touch-screen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a touch-sensitive trackball.

Sony Ericsson unveiled its new Z770 clamshell at Mobile World Congress yesterday.

The phone supports tri-band GSM/EDGE and 2100 MHz HSDPA networks, features a 2Mpix camera, FM radio, stereo Bluetooth, and includes Access' NetFront web browser and Google Maps application.

The release is scheduled for Q2 2008.

Here are a couple of new Sony Ericsson Cyber-Shot phones presented at MWC, the C702 and the C902.

Common features include GSM/EDGE networking, Access's NetFront browser with RSS reader, and FM receiver. And now briefly about each handset:

• The C902 model comes with a 5Mpix camera with auto-focus, flash, 2.

A member of the xda-developers forums has developed a notification utility called smartWatchM, which allows for certain data interchange between a Sony Ericsson MBW-150 Watch and Sony Ericsson phones or Windows Mobile based smartphones.

For instance, if you receive a message or an incoming phone call, or if you're listening to the music, the corresponding info, such as type of the message received or current song details is displayed on the watch's screen.

If you happen to be in Taiwan, you may want to get yourself the new "Fiery Red" version of the Sony Ericsson K530i, launched on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. As usual, no specifications were changed. Other two colors include Warm Silver and Thunder Black.

SE K530i features:

• Memory: Memory Stick Micro support (up to 2 GB); 16 MB on-board memory;
• Network: UMTS 2100; GSM 900/1800/GSM 1900;

Sony Ericsson has updated its PlayNow Arena service.

Now it includes more than 5 million new, mostly DRM-free tracks from 10 major record labels (Sony BMG, Warner Music Group, EMI, The Orchard, IODA, The PocketGroup, Hungama, X5 Music, Bonnier Amigo, and VidZone), as well as 250 mobile games from the existing partners.

Check out the Sony Ericsson W580im, a new music-centric slider cell phone.

It is i-mode-compatible and features Shake control functionality, which allows to change tracks in your playlist by shacking the handset.

The package also includes a stereo headset and PC software for easy music transfer.

Sony Ericsson W380i has a new color - "Black Champagne", or to put it simply - just "black".

As always, we don't know where you can get it nor when, as manufacturers never officially announce new colors.

Other available options include "Electric Purple" and "Magnetic Grey".
