Sony has announced today three Exmor (CMOS) camera modules for future mobile phones, including at 5, 8 and 12 Mpix ones. Besides high-res photos, all three will also be able to shoot Full HD video. NICE!
It should be noted that the 12Mpix module won't be available until March 2009. Well, we can wait. Hopefully there won't be any delays.

Sony’s Mylo 2 never was a bestseller. That said, the price of $299.99 seems to be irrational for most people. With this in mind, Sony decided to cut the price by $100 in hope this would attract more buyers.
Good luck, Sony.

You probably think that Sony's joint venture with Ericsson doesn't really have a major impact on the company's overall earnings. Well, maybe, but not in this case. The manufacturer's low income reflected in Sony's latest financial report with a 97% drop in cash payouts in comparison with the last year's performance - from ¥17.1 billion all the way down to a ¥0.6 billion.
Of course, this doesn't mean that Sony Ericsson's days are numbered, just makes you wonder how long Sony plans to tolerate those crappy balance sheets.
