Sprint Nextel offers the Motorola ic402. It is the second hybrid between iDEN and CDMA . The new ic402 is based on the ic502.

This Motorola phone has no external display and doesn't meet military 810f specification. It is just a plain clamshell with low-end specifications.

A couple of weeks ago Sanyo M1 was approved by FCC and now Sprint launched this handset finally.

The Sanyo M1 has a set of attractive features:

• EV-DO data
• 2.0 megapixel camera
• QVGA display with 262k colors
• 1GB of internal memory, which is quite impressive, but there is no expansion slot :(
• Bluetooth (with A2DP stereo support )
• Music player (MP3, AAC, AAC +) with external controls
• external stereo speakers
• Speakerphone

Sprint's price for the Sanyo M1 is $199 with a 2-year contract and $150 in instant savings.

Motorola Q, the popular slim smartphone will be available soon with Sprint PCS. As some months earlier it had been offered with the Verizon Wireless. Sprint PCS‘s version has the same hardware and software, and this device is balck instead of silver. Although, it has the carrier’s logos and comes preloaded with yellow Sprint theme.

The Koreans together with Sprint carrier launches new slim Samsung SPH-M610 phone. The point that captures attention and works in favour of the clamshell is its thickness being just 0.47” (11mm). It is rather small phone when combined with internal antenna.

The SPH-M610 has small caller ID external display and color QVGA internal one, and 2-megapixel camera.

Sprint has launched the LG LX-150, an entry-level clamshell handset. One unique element of the phone is that it sports a dedicated text messaging key. Pressing it takes you right to the SMS section of the interface.

Other features of the LG LX-150 include:

• 128x160 pixel screen with 262k colors (external screen is 96x94 and is monochrome)
• Speakerphone
• Bluetooth

The LX-150 is currently showing on RadioShack, but not the official Sprint.

Microsoft and Sprint made a deal to develop and deliver new service offerings for Sprint's business and consumer customers.

The first consumer offering gives Sprint customers the possibility to use Windows Live Search for mobile on their wireless phones to search location-based content from the Internet.

Sprint reported about the apparition of the first of Sprint Nextel combo phones. The Motorola ic502 was launched.

The ic502 uses Sprint's CDMA 1xRTT network for voice calls and data connections, but Nextel's iDen network for walkie-talkie service. Packed in the rugged clamshell body, it has the 65k color display, GPS, JAVA .

The Sanyo M1, a new clamshell from Sanyo is being approved by the FCC. The handset is available via Sprint.
