Good news for Sprint customers: Palm Treo Pro has is now available for purchase at the company's website. It doesn't differ from its GSM counterpart, and offers the following features:

• Sprint TV;
• Music Store;
• Mobile Sync;
• Picture messaging;
• QWERTY keyboard;
• 320x320 display;
• Windows Mobile Pro 6.

New slides of the upcoming Palm Treo Pro from Sprint have surfaced yesterday. Now it is known that the device will feature a 528Hz processor and 512MB of flash storage, as wel as IE6 as its default web browser. Also, according to some reports the device has already been shipped to stores, though it hasn't been confirmed.

Samsung Hightone is the company's yet another mid-range slider handset. It should be launched soon on Sprint in a choice of red or blue colors at an unknown price. Features include:

• 2Mpix camera;
• Video recording capability;
• 3.5mm headphone jack;
• Stereo Bluetooth with audible caller ID;
• Up to 8GB memory;

PPCGeeks have provided an official yet unannounced ROM update for Sprint's Diamond smartphone, along with a list of notable changes included in the build. It says it's a test version, so flash with caution.

According to PhoneArena, Best Buy will be Sprint's exclusive retail partner for the Palm Pre smartphone. The retailer will offer the handset exclusively for 60 days before other Sprint partners get it, but it remains unclear when.

Those who were planning to get themselves a Samsung Instinct now have a new color option to choose - pink. Price and specifications remained the same, so all willing can buy the phone now for $99 after rebate and a 2-year contract.

This is probably the first spy pic of the upcoming Palm Treo Pro for Sprint. The CDMA version of the handset has been approved yesterday by the FCC, and doesn't offer anything new when compared to its GSM counterpart. It should become available in approximately 2 weeks time for about $549.

The launch of Sprint’s Chicago WiMAX network has been delayed till the end of 2009. They have already launched WiMAX in Baltimore, and will do so this week in Portland, though the Chicago's network was promiced be up and running by the end of 2008.

The following information wasn't officially confirmed, but as the word goes Sprint is preparing to launch a smartphone called the BlackBerry Niagara, which is basically a CDMA version of the BlackBerry Bold 9000.

The phone will replace the BlackBerry 8830, and will also have a UI matching Sprint’s latest branding campaign.

Sprint has finally released the new BlackBerry Curve 8350i for its PTT-based iDEN network. The phone is currently available at the Sprint's web store for just $149 after a mail-in rebate with a 2-year contract. The carrier's retail stores should start selling it from January 11.
