Microsoft has updated its Windows Live Messenger mobile client to be compatible with Symbian S60 devices. As you can see on the picture above, the new version perfectly fits the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic’s screen, and will also be compatible with other Nokia handsets, including the upcoming N97 model.
Just to remind you, Windows Live Messenger allows you to chat with your MSN/Windows Live buddies, as well as access your Hotmail account while on-the-go.

Google has released a new version of its Maps for Mobile for the Windows Mobile and S60 platforms. The latest Maps for Mobile 2.3 app now supports the Street Views feature, previously available only for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android platforms.
The feature provides street-level images of streets that users search for.

We have a list of specifications for the upcoming Samsung i7110, which was first seen in August. The phone will probably be launched during Symbian Smartphone Show that will take place in London within 20 days from now, then we'll find out the exact release date.
Ok, the Samsung i7110 specs will include:
- 3G (HSDPA) support, GSM/EDGE;
- Symbian S60 9.

Check this out: according to Magnus Andersson, product manager of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, the device isn't actually tied to any specific technical platform, such as Windows Mobile, which means in the future we could see it run Symbian or even Android.

J. Gold Associates predict that in the near fufure, three to six months from now, Google and Nokia will combine their Android and Symbian platforms "to provide a single open source OS". Although there are no signs that somehow prove the aforementioned statement, the source is positively convinced that will happen very soon.
"A combination of the Android and Symbian efforts would be good for the industry, good for Google and good for Symbian", - say analysts.
