That's interesting. According to a Austrian newspaper "Der Standard", the upcoming 3G iPhone will be first available in Austria.
This could be true, as there exists a highly developed 3G network with extensive coverage. Nevertheless, there was no confirmation or denial from T-Mobile.
They said they were not allowed to tell "when and where" the new iPhone would be released.

T-Mobile USA has finally launched its UMTS/HSDPA network in the U.S.
Well, actually only in New York, but as the company claims there are more major cities to be covered by the end of the year. In spite of what we recently heard about the lack of data support on the new 3G network, today we can assure you that's not true, according to T-Mobile's official announcement.

T-Mobile USA came up with a new prepaid calling option - Pay By The Day.
Each day you use the phone will cost you $1. This includes free calls inside the network, and unlimited calls to any operator between 7:00 PM and 6:59 AM. Calling other operators during daytime hours costs $0.10 per minute.
Prices for SMS messages are $0.10 to send, and $0.05 to receive.

According to TmoNews.com, T-Mobile is about to launch the promised AWS 3G 1700 MHz spectrum in New York.
The released date is May 1, that is today! Great! While New York is the only city to take advantage of the new network (New Jersey and Long Island not included), more major cities like Los Angeles, Detroit, San Diego, Austin, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Miami, and other will be covered in 2008 (see the list below).

Vice President and General Manager of T-Mobile's Broadband and New Business Division, Joe Sims announced that by the end of the year the carrier will release at least one Android-based phone. He also stated that eventually there will be "more than one" device.
The question is: what handset will be the first? HTC Dream, maybe?

Meet the successor to the Shadow cell phone from T-Mobile, the Shadow II.
We can't tell much about it as it's just a single photo. But as far as we can see, the handset comes in a shiny body with rounded edges and apparently has a slide out keypad, maybe QWERTY, who knows...

FCC has unveiled a new mid-range Wi-Fi enabled clamshell from Samsung called t339. It will soon be available from T-Mobile and even supports the carrier's HotSpot@Home service. Wow...
Apart from the above mentioned, this is a mediocre phone with medium specs and an ugly design, but you choose whether to buy it or not.
The release date wasn't announced yet.

According to BGR, the Motorola Sidekick Slide will still be available from T-Mobile, and in a new color.
The launch should take place in late May or early June. The device will come in a nice shade of red with the same black shell as the original. So if you didn't like the purple keyboard, now you have an alternative.

The handset now costs just 99
euro or about $155 with a 2 year service agreement, which includes
the new Complete XL calling plan (1000 minutes, 300 SMS and unlimited
