T-Mobile Germany announced the new rebranded version of the HTC Athena, now known as the T-Mobile MDA Ameo 16GB.

Reportedly, apart from the larger storage capacity the device will also run the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, though this information is yet to be confirmed.

According to T-Mobile, MDA Ameo will be available April for 459.

FCC has recently approved the new Nokia 3555, a 3G (1700MHz) flip phone, similar to the 6555 model.

It will be available from for AT&T and T-Mobile, but we have no idea when Nokia 3555 will be released, nor what features it will include.

T-Mobile has added the HTC Touch to its smartphone line-up and renamed it to Touch Plus.

Until now HTC Touch was available exclusively from Orange.

The T-Mobile's Touch Plus should become available this month.

T-Mobile started offering free activation until January 1, 2008, despite that New Year is only 3 days away.

Although the activation fee is insignificant, the company nevertheless expects a wave of new subscriptions in the nearest future.

Back in May Canadian Telus Mobility launched the unlimited-calling service, where users get unlimited minutes and SMS for 5 selected phone numbers.

You know, the same as T-Mobile's "myFaves". But for some strange reason Telus decided to call it "My Faves"...

And you realize that was a bad idea.

T-Mobile and 3 have agreed to combine their UK 3G networks to close existing coverage gaps across the country, while at the same time increasing cost efficiency and network reliability, as well as reducing prices for their services.

This is a mutually beneficial solution, especially for their customers.

It looks like T-Mobile is planning to release the successor to the recently launched Blackberry Pearl 8100.

The upcoming device is called 8120, and will probably be launched on February 18.

Maybe this way T-Mobile decided to get rid of the superfluous supply of 8100 devices before the release of a more advanced model.

The new Samsung SGH-T819 has been recently approved by the FCC and will be available soon from T-Mobile USA.

It is an entry-level 3G handset supporting 1700MHz UMTS network.

Other features are pretty low-end, so we can expect a low price when it ships.

Samsung T739 Katalyst became yet another cell phone to support T-Mobile's HotSpot @Home service.

Customers will be able to switch between GSM and Wi-Fi networks during voice calls. Features include quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, 1.3Mpix camera, speaker-independent voice recognition, and a microSD slot (up to 2GB).

Looks like all issues with T-Mobile's Sidekick Slide have been resolved (quite fast!) and now the handset is once again available for purchase...

Well, atleast it has somehow re-appeared on the carrier's website, though both T-Mobile and Motorola keep silent.

There are no price changes; the phone still costs $199 with a 2- year contract, so I guess all willing can get it now.
