T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl 8120 Available from February 2008

It looks like T-Mobile is planning to release the successor to the recently launched Blackberry Pearl 8100.

The upcoming device is called 8120, and will probably be launched on February 18.

Maybe this way T-Mobile decided to get rid of the superfluous supply of 8100 devices before the release of a more advanced model.

Samsung T819 for T-Mobile USA

The new Samsung SGH-T819 has been recently approved by the FCC and will be available soon from T-Mobile USA.

It is an entry-level 3G handset supporting 1700MHz UMTS network.

Other features are pretty low-end, so we can expect a low price when it ships.

Samsung Katalyst from T-Mobile

Samsung T739 Katalyst became yet another cell phone to support T-Mobile's HotSpot @Home service.

Customers will be able to switch between GSM and Wi-Fi networks during voice calls. Features include quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, 1.3Mpix camera, speaker-independent voice recognition, and a microSD slot (up to 2GB).

T-Mobile Sidekick Slide is back on the Market

Looks like all issues with T-Mobile's Sidekick Slide have been resolved (quite fast!) and now the handset is once again available for purchase...

Well, atleast it has somehow re-appeared on the carrier's website, though both T-Mobile and Motorola keep silent.

There are no price changes; the phone still costs $199 with a 2- year contract, so I guess all willing can get it now.

T-Mobile launched the second handset for its future 3G network, the Nokia 6263.

This is a flip phone supporting 1700/2100MHz frequencies and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. It has a QVGA display, 1.3Mpix camera, built-in FM tuner, stereo Bluetooth, and microSD slot (up to 4GB) with an included 512MB card.

German Court has Delayed Ruling on iPhone Dispute between Vodafone and T-Mobile

The Hamburg District Court announced on Monday that it would delay by one a ruling on dispute between T-Mobile and Vodafone over the right to sell the Apple iPhone in Germany.

Now the ruling is expected to be announced this afternoon. Just to remind you, the case started on November 12 when after the Vodafone's appeal T-Mobile was forbidden to sell the handset exclusively.

T-Mobile to Launch its 3G Network on December 6th?

According to a T-Mobile representative, the company plans to launch its long-awaited 3G network next week.

There is not much info on this matter right now, mostly rumors, but as we expect the network will be using the 1700 MHz frequency band and will be online by December 6, 2007.

Until then we wait.

T-Mobile's iPhones Unlocked via iTunes

As you probably know, T-Mobile Germany has recently started offering unlocked (contract free) iPhones for 999 Euros.

Well, they are not really unlocked; you purchase a regular locked handset, and then send the phone's IMEI to Apple for unlocking. Within 24 hours they send you an e-mail saying "thank you”, and after that you just connect your iPhone to iTunes and voila.

If you recall, T-Mobile has recently stopped selling Motorola's Sidekick Slide smartphones because of their battery problems.

Now Motorola claims it has fixed all the issues and will implement the solution in new and existing devices.

So we can expect Sidekick Slide to appear on the market again next week.
