It looks like the FCC has approved the HTC Rhodium, a Touch Pro2 variant which should be available from T-Mobile soon. According to FCC’s documentation, the device will have:

• GSM/EDGE/3G 1700 MHz support;
• 3.6" display with 480 x 800 resolution;
• Windows Mobile 6.1 OS;
• GPS;
• Wi-Fi;
• Bluetooth;
• 3.

T-Mobile has released the Android Cupcake 1.5 update for its HTC G1 users. The problem is that if you're using a custom ROM, you won't be able to download the update. Thus be sure to return to the official ROM, if you want to play with the Cupcake.

Sprint is reportedly preparing the HTC S511 Snap that we talked about a while ago for the mid-Summer release. There's no confirmation on that, but let's keep our fingers crossed.

T-Mobile has announced the AWS-compatible HTC Rhodium aka Wing 2 for the U.S. market. The phone was first spotted back in January and has just been approved by the FCC. Here's the list of its key specs:

• Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional;
• 3.6" WVGA touchscreen display;
• QWERTY keyboard;
• Qualcomm 7201A processor;
• 512MB ROM;
• 256MB RAM;
• Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.

According to BGR, starting May 20th T-Mobile customers will be able to get the new Samsung SGH-T349, a budget messaging handset with a 20 key "SureType" style keypad and support for all kinds of messaging, including MMS/SMS, IM and Email. Among other features there's a 1.3Mpix camera with video capturing capadility and a speakerphone.

The phone will be added to both T-Mobile's contract and prepaid line-up.

T-Mobile Germany have announced that the anticipated Android 1.5 Cupcake update will be available to G1 owners in May. Here are some of the new features included in the update:

• Additional on-screen keyboard - you decide how you enter your messages;
• Video recording and playback;
• Pictures and video include one-click Picasa and Yo

A live photo of the HTC Touch Pro2 with T-Mobile USA branding has surfaced today, indicating that the handset is destined for the U.S. market. To strenghthen that belief notice that the QWERTY keyboard doesn’t have European characters like € on it... Nice!

You can expect the device to be released as the T-Mobile Wing II on July 22.

T-Mobile has officially announced the Sidekick LX yesterday, which isn't bad of course, but everyone knows about it already. We actually expected the comapany to unveils some more Android or BlackBerry related details, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

It looks like T-Mobile will soon be launching the Sony Ericsson C905 in the U.S., as it's been spotted at the FCC site under the name CS8. The handset will have an 8.1Mpix camera, will support T-Mobile’s 3G bands, and is expected to be available around June 24th.

According to different sources, T-Mobile will soon be offering the HTC Snap, a BlackBerry look-alike with a front-facing QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry fans should really consider this one.
