600,000 Samsung Galaxy Tab devices sold worldwide so far

According to Korea Herald, Samsung managed to sell 600,000 units of its Galaxy tab devices worldwide since the launch day. It is available in 30 countries across Asia, Europe, and North America. According to the same edition 30,000 units of the device were sold in Korea alone since November 30.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab will launch on AT&T for $649.99 on November 21. It is available without contract and can be used with a $14.99 pay-as-you-go plan with 250MB of data or a $25 plan with 2GB of data per month. AT&T also provides buyers of the Galaxy Tab with $50 Media Hub Movie Rental Credit.

Samsung hopes to sell 1 million Galaxy Tab units by the end of 2010.

Samsung recently stated that it hopes to sell 1 million units of its New Galaxy Tab Android tablet by the end of 2010. Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Tab to South Korean public next week. The president of Samsung's mobile business said that they’re preparing other kinds of tablets to strengthen their position on the market.

Samsung Galaxy Tab now available from Orange UK

Orange UK announced that it will soon offer the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the 7" Android tablet, for £499 ($800) with qualifying Orange Raccoon and Orange Dolphin data plans. The device will come with a customizable Orange homescreen with links to Orange apps such as Orange Maps, Your Orange, and a cinema ticket app.

Samsung Galaxy Tab to hit Verizon and O2 UK in November

Verizon Wireless announced that it will begin offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab on November 11 for $599.99, along with a $20 monthly data plan, which provides 1GB of data.

Also, O2 has announced that it will start offering the device to its customers online and in stores on all O2 Mobile Broadband tariffs and selected voice tariffs starting November 1.

Samsung Galaxy Tab headed to Verizon, AT&T, Sprint

Wall Street Journal reported that the Samsung's newly launched Galaxy Tab Android-powered tablet will be available on 3 major U.S. carriers, namely Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and Sprint. The Galaxy Tab, which which is considered as a direct rival to Apple's iPad, would likely cost between $200 and $300, which is assumed to be a subsidized carrier price.

Samsung has announced the upcoming release of its Galaxy Tab tablet device. It will be launched in Europe in mid September, and in other markets including Korea, the US and Asia in coming months. Pricing wasn't disclosed.

  • HSUPA 5.76 Mbps / HSDPA 7.2 Mbps radio (900, 1900, 2100 MHz);
  • Quad-band GSM;
