The appearance of the BlackBerry 8230 Pearl Flip smartphone on the Telus' website is definitely a good sign for its waiters. The phone is listed as "Coming Soon", but doesn't offer any pricing details. Expected prices are $50 on a 3-year contract, or $449 outright.
In Canada the handset is also available through Best Buy Canada and Bell.

According to BlackBerryNews, the CDMA BlackBerry Pearl 8220 flip will be coming soon to Telus. They've showed some documentation showing a big "Coming Soon" sign next to the phone. And if rumors are to be belived, the most probable release date is sometime in the end of the month.

The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 will soon be available in CDMA version, as tha handset will be hitting Telus in the nearest future. According to the unofficial info, the phone should be released as early as next month in either black or pink colors.
Possible U.S. carriers for the 8220 are Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint.

Telus subscribers will finally be able to get their hands on the latest BlackBerry OS 4.5 update. Well, not actually latest, as users on other networks use software version 4.5.0.89, while those on telus will have to settle with 4.5.0.77 build. But, it's better than nothing anyway.
The update is compatible with 8130 Pearl and the 8330 Curve models, and can be downloaded here.
