AT&T has recently released the HTC Tilt2, a WM6.5-based full touchscreen handset, which features a full duplex speakerphone, 3.2Mpix camera, WVGA tilt-up display, and a 5-row QWERTY keyboard perfect for typing long messages. It is available for $349.99 on contract before a $50 mail-in rebate.
According to Engadget's recent report based on an official Windows Mobile 6.5 PR and an internal memo from AT&T, the new HTC Tilt 2, the carrier-branded Touch Pro2 is currently available to business customers and will bereleased for everyone starting October 18th.
Besides the HTC Pure, AT&T has also launched the Tilt 2, basically a carrier-branded Windows Mobile 6.5 based HTC Touch Pro2. The phone comes with a 3.6" WVGA display, full QWERTY keyboard with tilt-up display , full duplex speakerphone, and a 3.2Mpix camera, and will be available "in the following weeks" for $299.99 after $50 rebate.
HTC will release a new firmware update for the AT&TTilt in March.
The update kit will include DTMF tones for the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the Microsoft Adaptation Kit Update (AKU) 0.4.4, and improved overall device performance and stability.
