Those who live in Europe are lucky... Why? The HTC's flagship Touch Pro2 smartphone with support for European 3G bands can now be purchased through devicewire.co.uk online shop, unlocked and ready for action. Unfortunately, its $800 price tag is just too unreasonable, but that's just me...

Just a short update: according to eXpansys UK, the handset should be in their stock on June 12th. This just proves our previous suggestions about the mid-June release.

According to last week's reports, it looks like HTC Touch Pro2 will be coming on Sprint sometime in mid-June. This came from a SprintUsers poster, who backed up his words with some nice pictures of the device. It's still just a rumor, however, so don't get your hopes up. Stay tuned.

The HTC Touch Pro2 has recently appeared on Vodafone UK site under the Business phones category. There's no price for it, but we're sure it will be heavily subsidized when it starts selling. For some reason Vodafone has added a space in the phone's name, thus calling it the Touch Pro 2. The expected released date is June 5th, though this is is just a guess.

A new ROM upgrade v1.40.707.1 is now available at HTC support site for HTC Touch Diamond2 users in Asia. The most notable change is the phone's updated radio, but we can't tel if it will improve reception of battery life. Anyway, if you're willing to update your device, download link and instructions can be found here.

The name's Touch Viva... It's not HTC, and it's not approved by Microsoft. But it's the first handset to come with Windows Mobile 6.5 installed out of the box. The price is just 1,099 yuan (about $161) off contract, so you might as well give it a try. Oh, that is if you happen to live in China.

New Sprint subscribers looking to buy the HTC Touch Pro should head over to Amazon, as the phone is currently available there for just $99 (after a $100 mail in rebate). It is a lot cheaper than paying $299 to Sprint directly.

It looks like the FCC has approved the HTC Rhodium, a Touch Pro2 variant which should be available from T-Mobile soon. According to FCC’s documentation, the device will have:

• GSM/EDGE/3G 1700 MHz support;
• 3.6" display with 480 x 800 resolution;
• Windows Mobile 6.1 OS;
• GPS;
• Wi-Fi;
• Bluetooth;

HTC has released a new ROM update version 1.57.831.1 for Touch HD users in Hong Kong. The changes are as follows:

• Auto-database downloading during Connection Setup is now disabled;
• Improved Bluetooth connection when using Internet Sharing;
• The roaming icon doesn't display under the non-roaming circumstances

Touch HD users from other regions can install the upgrede using the hspl or uspl method.
