An updated firmware build version 1.93 for the HTC Touch Diamond has been released today in the UK and other European countries. The new ROM improves on camera navigation, text alert speed, tab-switching speed and a new city selector in the weather tab.

All doubts are gone: AT&T will soon be ofering the HTC Touch Pro.
The device is similar to the Diamond model, but boasts an additional keypad.
It supports 3G on the 850 band, features TouchFLO3D interface, but lacks the front facing VGA camera.

Apparently, Vodafone is next in line to offer the HTC Touch Pro smartphone. The divice is currently listed at their Vodafone Business Shop, but should be available to general public in the nearest future.

FCC approved a new version of the HTC Touch Diamond smartphone, which supports U.S. 3G spectrum bands, namely WCDMA 850/1900.
They also confirmed the presence of Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and Wi-Fi.

After the appearance of the unofficial HTC Touch Diamond ROM that enables support for the 850MHz GSM, the manufacturer decided to release an build of its own, which btw not only adds support or the aforementioned spectrum, but includes a number of minor changes and fixes as well. Sprint customers who own either HTC Touch or Mogul can now update their handset to Windows Mobile 6.1.
The Touch will now support Sprint's high-speed EV-DO Rev A. network, and will take advantage of the popular Opera web browser, and improved GPS functionality.
The HTC Mogul receives the same Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional upgrade. It will have updated versions of Microsoft Office and Live Search, as well as support for Sprint TV service.

HTC and Sprint have finally issued an official Windows Mobile 6.1 update for the Sprint Touch. It's nice to have an official build, though unofficial versions of this firmware have been available for quite a while now.
Just to remind you, the Windows Mobile 6.1 adds support for EV-DO Rev. A, an OEM version of Opera, enhances GPS functionality, and more.

Xda-developers have somehow managed to enable the supposedly lacking GSM 850MHz spectrum on the HTC Touch Diamond smartphone. The modified ROM is available at their site.
However, though now you'll be able to use the phone anywhere in the U.S., you will still have enjoy the "lightning fast" speed of the EDGE data network, as 3G is not supported on this device.
