Verizon Wireless announced the upcoming launch of the new XV6900, the carrier-branded version of the HTC Touch smartphone. It should be released in April 2008 with a price of $349.99 after a 2-year service agreement and mail-in rebate. Verizon XV6900 features:
- 2.8" touchscreen display;
- White color scheme;
- Windows Mobile 6 Professional;
- Ability to view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files;
- 2Mpix camera;
- microSD card slot for expanded storage;
- Bluetooth 2.

A Howard Forums member gave us the idea how the upcoming LG VX8560 music flip phone will look like.
You can see it on the photo to the left. It has a red-colored profile, dedicated music keys, and a small camera on top of the external screen. Unfortunately, no details concerning the phone's specs were unveiled so far.
The second handset you see on the picture is the LG VX9700 scheduled to be released by Verizon in May.

Samsung has just released the AnyCall Haptic (SCH-W420, SPH-W4200), the top premium model in the AnyCall Series of touchscreen phones.
Its wide 3.2" display provides haptic feedback, including audio and visual effects, and has a fully customizable interface thanks to Widget and drag-and-drop functions.
Other features include DMB, a 2Mpix camera, Bluetooth 2.

The ASUS P750 business
smartphone has a secret.
Its touchscreen display actually supports
VGA resolution, though stays on 320x240 by default. Two hackers from
asusmobile.ru claim that they have created a fix that should enable
640x480 resolution on the handset.
The solution will be fully ready
in about a week, so we won't have to wait too long.

The upcoming HTC
smartphone, based on Google's Android OS will be named "Dream".
The handset will measure about 5" long and 3" wide, and
will feature a large touchscreen with a full sliding (or swiveling)
QWERTY keypad underneath, and Internet navigational controls.
The
release is expected in the end of the year.

This is the new LG
LH2300 Touch Web phone, most probably a future hit judging by its
specs.
It offers a large 3" 800×480 touchscreen with some
new "Hello" UI, 3G support, T-DMB TV tuner, 3Mpix camera
with face recognition and anti-shake technology, Bluetooth 2.0,
microSD slot and much more. Unfortunately, we yet don't know when the
device will be available, and whether it will appear outside of
Korea.

Here's a little video

It comes with a touch-based InteractPad, which is used for
navigation and features context-specific virtual keys capable of
changing their function.

Personally, I think this is the best Sony PSP phone concept yet! Just look at it. It has a sliding keypad, or rather a game controller, which you can hide under the touch-sensitive screen whenever you quit playing and use the device as a phone.

Samsung and LG compete for a bigger share in the Korean touch-screen phone market. Both giants have recently launched two new handsets, SCH-W420 and KF-700 full touch-screen models. The first one SCH-W420 comes with a 3.2" touch-sensitive display, supports DMB-TV and has a 2Mpix camera, while the other has a 3" touchscreen with an enhanced user-friendly UI and haptic feedback.
