FCC has just approved a new full touchscreen phone from Philips, the X800.
Apparently, this one won't make it to the U.S., and the exact release date is still under question.
According to the FCC's filling, the handset features dedicated end/send buttons, a 2Mpix camera, and a microSD card slot for extra storage.

According to DigiTimes, Hong Kong CSL is about to get the first batch of over 10,000 HTC Touch Diamond smartphones.
Next in line are European / Asia-Pacific operators, which should be receiving the device in June.
But that's all that was mentioned in the report - no info on the availability in the U.S., sorry...

Previously HTC planned to have 2 millions of Touch Diamond smartphones sold by the end of the year.
But now Chinese "Commercial Times" reports that according to HTC's CEO Peter Chou, the company expects to sell 3 million units in the next 7 months starting June.

Hisense has recently unveiled a new 3G phone called T68, which was first seen at the HITECH 2008 Fair in China.

Samsung has announced the upcoming availability of its new SGH-F480 TouchWiz touchscreen smartphone.
The device will be released in the European market on June 2008, with other regions to follow. Here's the official set of its specs:

Alltel has corrected the U.S. carriers' mistake of giving a single color to their HTC Touch smartphone.
Previously available only in Grey, the Alltel Touch now comes in a Burgundy flavor - and it looks nice.
No specs have been changed (of course) and the price of $129.99 with 2-year contract also remains the same.

This could mean that the U.S. release is not far away from now, or is it? We'll see, but it would be a shame if this beauty won't make it stateside, after all this is the best HTC smartphone yet (IMHO).

Samsung Korea has launched two new Anycall phones, called the SCH-W420 and SPH-W4200.
Both phones have the same large touchscreens with haptic feedback, which allows users to communicate through 22 types of vibrations. Other features include 3.2" screen, DMB TV, 2Mpix camera and more.
The handsets will be available in pink and white colors for 700.
