FCC Unveils Samsung T919 and LG VX9600 Phones

FCC has unveiled two new phones today, the Samsung T919 for T-Mobile and the LG VX9600 for Verizon Wireless.

The T919 is a tri-band GSM/3G handset with support for 1700MHz WCDMA and probably HSDPA. Other features may include MP3 player, a-GPS and a full Internet browser with "touch".

The LG VX9600 is a CDMA 850/1900 / EVDO handset with a 3" touch sensitive display with 3D graphical UI, according to documents.

New LG KB770 with DVB-T tuner

Mobile Gazette has written about the new LG KB770 cell phone with built-in DVB-T tuner, which makes it a cheap Mobile TV. Apart from that it it sports a number of other nice features:

  • HSDPA data;
  • 3″ touchscreen;
  • 3Mpix camera;
  • Video capture: 320 x 240 pixels at 15 fps;
  • MicroSD slot;
  • Stereo Bluetooth;
  • Weight: 109 grams

The LG KB770 will be available in Germany SIM-free for about 440 Euro.

HTC S740 announced

HTC today unveiled the stylish S740, the successor of the S730, that combines features of the Touch Diamond and a non-touch-screen Windows Mobile Standard device. It has usual numeric keypad and a physical QWERTY keyboard that slides out from the side.
The HTC S740 features:

  • HSDPA 7.2 in the 900/2100 bands, quad-band GSM;
  • 528 MHz processor;
  • Windows Mobile 6.

Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia Comes to Italy and Germany Next Month

Users in Italy and Germany will soon be able to get their hands on the latest touchscreen smartphone from Samsung, the SGH-i900 Omnia.

It will start shipping unlocked and unbranded on August 6 at a price of EUR649 ($1032) for the 8GB version, before taxes and subsidies.

The company also plans to release the device throughout Europe later on.
