The latest OS 4.7.1.57 update for the BlackBerry Tour became available to general public at the BlackBerry Software Download site. Before you proceed, as always, don't forget to back up your data.

According to BGR, the U.S. Cellular will be joining other U.S. based CDMA carriers to offer the new BlackBerry 9630 to its subscribers. Above you see a screenshot of the specs page from their site. While it provides some info on the phone's key features, we'd like to know the exact release date instead.

This is just a rumor, but according to BGR the next OS release for Verizon’s BlackBerry Tour will be OS 4.7.1.42. Apparently the new build will resolve some performance issues and will address bugs, but that's all we know about it.

Not surprisingly, Sprint announced that it will start selling the BlackBerry Tour to its customers on July 12 for $199.99 on contract after rebates. Well, there goes Verizon's "timed exclusive"...

It looks like Alltel will also be offering the BlackBerry Tour. CrackBerry has posted a few spy shots from an unidentified source, on which you can clearly see the said Alltel-branded device. No details on pricing or launch date, but expect it to be available really soon for $199.99 on contract, same as from Verizon.

Right after Verizon, Bell will be the next carrier to offer the on the BlackBerry Tour 9630 in North America. It should be available on July 17th at the following prices:

• $249.99 with a 3 year contract (promo)
• $449.99 with a 3 year contract
• $699.95 outright

Well, it's official: Verizon's BlackBerry Tour will be available on July 12th, as the teaser web page was replaced with a pre-order page, containing a price tag of $199.99. Get it while it's hot!
