Despite Palm’s great efforts its net income was down 60.5%. despite the fact that they sold 738,000 Treo smartphones in the third quarter for its 2007 fiscal year, and had a 30% increase over the year-ago quarter. Palm announced its third quarter results: the 738,000 sales number was a record for the company, although net income fell from $29.9 million to $11.8 million, or $0.11 per share.
