Nokia’s 5800 XpressMusic, also known as Tube has turned out to be a serious success for the manufacturer. According to the statistics the company has shipped over 500.000 units in just 30 days. These figures are as impressive as they are doubtful, however they are coming from Nokia’s CEO, and I tend to believe him.
If you were planning to get yourself a touchscreen Nokia 5800, we'd like to inform you that, unless you already know, the handset is now available (or almost available) in the following countries: Russia, Spain, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan or Finland. The price remains unknown at the moment, but it shouldn't be too high anyway.
The long-awaited Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will soon be available in Russia. In fact, this is the first market where the handset will be officially put on sale. Eldorado, the country’s largest electronics retailer, will start selling the unlocked version of 5800 on December 5th for 15,000 Roubles ($554), and hopes to sell about 10,000 units by January.
While this information is unconfirmed, we feel it's our duty to share it to you: according to an "anonymous industry source" the Nokia's long-awaited XpressMusic 5800 Tube touchscreen handset will be launched on October 2nd.
As I said, take this with a large pinch of salt and wait for an official confirmation.
